This series is not yest finished, but because there are so many books in the series already I am just going to review the first five books, which I loved. This author, Sherrilyn Kenyon has written so many books, and the way she develops her characters is fantastic. Nick, the main character-duh-, is one of my favorites. I love his personality and the way he thinks about stuff.
If you haven't read this series yet, I highly recommend it. I went into this book not knowing much, only that the main character was sixteen year old Nick Guatier who lives in New Orleans with his mom, his father left him when he was very young, and no one likes him. And that there are zombies and demons and a lot of other cool stuff in this series. Accidentally, I read the third book first, which wasn't all that bad I still got the gist of the story, but if you don't want to mildly confused then just read the books in order.
So this series follows Nick. His father left him before he was born, actually. And his mother is a stripper. It was the only job she could get, and all the money she gets from it goes to this high end school Nick goes to, because she wants the best for Nick. I think she is one of my favorite parents. Their either dead or evil mostly. Strange stuff starts to happen around the time when a girl, Nekoda, starts to go to the same school as Nick. After hanging out with Nekoda and another kid, Caleb, Nick realizes not everything is what it seems. There are demons in this world, and they are all after him. Nick learns that he is the Malachai, an evil demon that has been on earth and in other dimensions since the start of time, and they have always been the male on Nicks fathers side. Nick is destined to overcome the Malachai that his father possesses, but Nick doesn't want that.
In order to become something so powerful, Nick will lose all of the happiness and goodness in him and become so evil and despicable, he will the most evil and powerful force on the Earth.
This series was great so far. You really get hooked in, and the books really develop into something very big. Please read this because I loved it so much. Please leave comments below and I will check them as soon as I can. Sorry I missed two days I was very tired, but thanks so much.
