Daughter of Smoke And Bone Trilogy-Laini Taylor-Young Adult Fantasy

If you have not yet read this book, I highly recommend it. The story line is one I have seen used very much, your usual angel vs. demon story. But this one is so much more. This story does switch out narrators from time to time, but through most of the book we stay with Karou. Karou is sixteen, living in Prague and going to an art school. She is very good at art, and draws these characters. Brimstone, Ziri, and many more. Everyday her friend, Zuzanna, asks her what these characters did the day before. Karou tells her and then goes on with her day. There of course is one thing a little out of the ordinary here. All of these characters are real. They are Karou's family. Now of course Karou knows that they aren't her real family, but Brimstone is her father figure and have taken care of her throughout her whole life.
Just when Karou is finally getting a hold of her life, going on missions for Brimstone who collects teeth, all hell is broken loose. Literally. Karou was brought up to always hate angels. This means of course that Karou is a demon, but she is so much more. She learns all this when Akiva shows up. Secretive and strangely familiar, he draws  her in and shows her so much more than she had ever hoped for.
I really like Karou. She really shows a strong female character and really gave me a sense of inspiration. This book carries very many quotes that I love and I cannot wait to read the last book. I have already read the second book and I hope to get that post written later today. I have heard rumors of this book adapting into film, and I so much hope that that is true. This is one of the page turning books, and once I finished the first one, I was obsessed. I've read a lot of books with the angel vs. demon theme and forbidden love, but this book is so much more. This epic fantasy thriller really hooked me in, and I encourage anyone to read the trilogy.
This is my fourth post, please leave comments below and I hope to get to them soon. Thank you for reading and I'll have my next post up soon.
