Divergent Trilogy-Veronica Roth-Young Adult Dystopian

So I knew I had to write today since I haven't in a while, and I'm trying to think of which book or series I should reflect upon. My brain goes totally blank, and I can't even remember the books I've read, only the ones I've done other posts for. So being the lazy person I am and not wanting to go all the way to my room I look up a picture on my phone of my bookshelf, which is like a couple months old so I don't have all the books on there I have now, but then I see the Divergent trilogy and realize I  haven't reflected at all on those, and that's a very big trilogy right now.
So to start out, I know that people refuse to read this book because it's too much like the Hunger Games, and honestly, it really isn't. And having read both trilogies, which are fantastic by the way, they really aren't all that much alike. Totally different plot, way different plot twist, and the over all dystopian world that is created in these books are very much different. And the reason why people think they are too much alike is because it's a dystopian world, the main character is a teenage girl, and the faction/districts. I have read many dystopian books with these districts or factions or however you want to call them. The reason for the separation between certain types of people is also very different from each other.
So what I would like to start out with is that if you don't even know what Divergent is you must be living under a rock, because everyone knows what Divergent is. The Divergent movie, which I was so worried for because the trailers really didn't do it for me was fantastic. It was very close to being spot on with just a few things here and there that had to be changed, and I didn't at all mind the changes. The Insurgent trailer was absolutely epic. I loved it so much, it got my adrenaline pumping and I was so very happy with it, so if you haven't seen that I suggest you go and look at it, but if you haven't finished the first book or haven't seen the movies than I suggest don't because I feel like it might give to much away. But I do, like every book to movie adaptation, highly suggest that you read the books first because nothing is better than the books themselves, and I cannot stand it when people see the movie first and then think that they're going to read the books after or not at all. I rather you not read the book after you see the movie because it just ruins the entire experience. I think I will make a post just on that later on, actually.
So in conclusion please read this trilogy I thought they were fantastic for the most part. My least favorite was probably Allegient and not for the reason people would think who have already read the books. I just thought it was very serious and very dark, which is understandable because of the position the characters were in at the time, but there was some drama in there that I thought was unneeded, but that shouldn't discourage you not to read the books.
So please leave your comments below and I will hopefully get another post up soon!

The Selection Trilogy-Kiera Cass-Dystopian

I'm not sure how to put my thoughts into words just yet but I do know that I can start with what this trilogy is about.
So in the first book, The Selection, we learn that there is no America, and instead a whole new country that has taken place of the USA. So our main character whose name is America Singer lives in this Dystopian world, but there isn't much really high tech stuff or the government trying to take over or whatever. It's more like modern time with a little bit more. And  kind of like The Hunger Games, they have these things called Castes. The higher the number of the cast the more poor and helpless you were. America lives in the Fifth Castes and she is put up for this contest called The Selection. The Selection comes around when a royal is born and when they are eighteen they will choose thirty five girls or boys from each Caste. So when the prince becomes of age America wants nothing to do with him. This is because of her boyfriend back home, Aspen, who loves her deeply. But when complications arrive and America is chosen for the Selection, a wild love triangle appears. She must choose who she loves most, know her past and her own future.
This trilogy was very good. It shows a lot of character development, and I have heard stories of this trilogy going into a movie. There were some funny parts in the books especially when she first meets the prince. I do suggest you read this because it was a good trilogy. Though it wasn't my favorite book series in the world I did enjoy reading them.
Thank you for reading this. Sorry if it sounds bad or anything it's like three in the morning and I realized that I haven't done a post in a while so yeah. Please leave your comments below and I will write again soon!

Paper Towns-John Green-Young Adult Contemporary

Oh my goodness, how I just love John Green. He is one of my favorite authors. Now I know a lot of people who like John Green too, but they've only read The Fault In Our Stars. And that's how they see John Green, the author of The Fault In Our Stars. And I don't see him that way. I see him as John Green, the author of The Fault In Our Stars, Paper Towns, Looking For Alaska, An Abundance Of Katherines, etc. Not only is he my favorite contemporary read but he is also one of my favorite authors of all time. I went into this book not really knowing much about it, and this is one of the books where I think you need to be a little more of a mature reader to read this. This is going to be a movie next year with Nat Wolff who also played Isaac in The Fault In Our Stars. I am so excited for this, I just know it is going to be fantastic. This book had me laughing out loud so many times and I just don't know how I'm going to survive in the movie theater. This book is nothing like TFIOS. If you liked or didn't like TFIOS I don't care. Just read this book. It's as simple as that. This was not a saddening book where you had tears just pooling out of your eyes. Like when I finished TFIOS I locked myself in my room and just ate so much junk food. I was a complete mess. But Paper Towns is so much different. The ending was a little sad, but coming from a girl who is deeply emotional to anything, I only had watery eyes, but no tears.
So to conclude this I suggest you read this book. I don't care what you're doing, just stop and buy this book because it is great. Both genders will love I think. John Green always pleases me and I really love his writing style. How he really involves all of the characers somehow and they each have their own little back story. John Green is definitely on my list of authors to meet, so hopefully I can get that pleasure and meet him.
Thank you so much for reading, please leave your comments below and I will get back to them. Have a wonderful day and I will hopefully write again soon!

The Darkest Minds Trilogy-Alexandra Bracken-Young Adult Post-Apoctolyptic

Alright guys, this is my absolute favorite trilogy in the entire universe. I love nothing more than these books. Alexandra Bracken if you are reading this (And I doubt you are) I love you! You are just amazing and I love your books and just Oh My God. I love these.
So the first book in this amazing thriller dystopian survival story we follow sixteen year old Ruby Daly. When she was ten a horrendous illness struck America, killing off 98% of the children. The remaining 2% were taken to camps after developing special powers. This illness gave these children supernatural powers. Once they were taken to these concentration camps their names were taken away and they were known by the colors in which their supernatural ability is. There is Blue: Telekinesis. Green: Crazy smart. Yellow: Control electricity. Red: Control fire, can get very angry. Orange: Very rare. They can look into your mind and change your thoughts and emotions and make you do things. Ruby finds out that she is an Orange, after erasing her parents memories. Oranges are either killed right away, or taken to a secure area of the camp and kept there until they die. Ruby gets by though by saying she is a Green. Six years in Thurmond, and Ruby is taken to the infirmary after she faints. A nurse there, acting peculiar ends up breaking her out of Thurmond along with another kid, a boy her age named Marvin who is also and Orange in hiding. The nurse, Cate, is part of a League that breaks out these children and trains them to become sort of like secret agents.
Ruby starts to get a bad feeling about Cate. When they stop at a gas station Ruby makes a run for it after finding a child in the gas station and running after her. Along the way, Ruby finds the girl, Zu, and two boys her age, Chubs and Liam who have recently broken out of another concentration camp and are on the run.
I don't want to give to much away, but you have to read this trilogy. You just have to. The writing is fantastic and you meet so many great characters along the way and adventure. I just kept on turning the pages and turning and turning. These books were definitely filled with tears. I don't reread books. At all. But I have reread this entire series a couple of time and the last book only came out like two months ago. I just love it so much. And because I was with this trilogy from the start, the books are really apart of me, and I love the characters so much. So there you have it. PLEASE READ!

Popularity

Though most of my posts will be focusing on books and everything, I would like to take time to write about things that are just about everyday life. Just my everyday problems, thoughts, experiences, etc. This post will focus on popularity.
I am in my seventh grade. Our school has major cliques. Jocks, burn-outs, super smart kids, musicians, etc. I personally think that my so called "clique" is the Random clique. I kind of fit in with everything. Music, I play the clarinet and listen to music all the time. Sports: I play volleyball and dance and I don't mind working out with friends. Does reading a book count as a sport? Yes, it does. I'm not super smart, but I have fairly good grades, and like every single one of my friends is like unbelievably smart. So all of my friends are kind of part of their own cliques, but I kind of have one of each. Most of my friends are girls. I wouldn't mind having any guy friends, and there are a lot of really cool guys in my school in my grade, but it's not like I go up to them and am like: "Hey, lets be friends!" Creepy....But I'm also not like the girls that snapchat or talk anytime they can with the guys they like. Like, if I were a guy and some chic was like obsessed with me and always wanted to talk with me, I would be flattered at first, but it would probably get annoying. Like it would be two o clock in the morning and she would be like "Hey, what are you doin'?" I don't know, helping a cow give birth?!? If you ask a stupid question you are going to get a stupid answer.
Alright, that concludes that. Thanks for reading, have a lovely day. BYE!

Just a Message

I know that some of the books I've written about are kind of old news and everything, but I did read most of these books a while back. But because of this blog I want to write about all of them. I have over a hundred books and I'm going to write all of them either separately or in the full series forms. And not all of my books are young adult fantasy, I am just writing them in the order they are put up on my bookshelf. I also read dystopian, post apocalyptic, contemporary, etc. So if you see some of my posts and think that I'm just reading these books now or something like that, no, that is not the case, I am just trying to write about all the books I have now and then write about the books I am reading and have just finished.
Please tell me to your friends and family members also, I feel like not many people are paying attention to the blog, and I don't see any comments at all, and if I continue to see that I might just stop so please spread me on, that sounds really weird, but yeah. Thank you so much, hopefully I will write tomorrow. BYE!

The Chronicles Of Nick-Sherrilyn Kenyon-Young Adult Fantasy

This series is not yest finished, but because there are so many books in the series already I am just going to review the first five books, which I loved. This author, Sherrilyn Kenyon has written so many books, and the way she develops her characters is fantastic. Nick, the main character-duh-, is one of my favorites. I love his personality and the way he thinks about stuff.
If you haven't read this series yet, I highly recommend it. I went into this book not knowing much, only that the main character was sixteen year old Nick Guatier who lives in New Orleans with his mom, his father left him when he was very young, and no one likes him. And that there are zombies and demons and a lot of other cool stuff in this series. Accidentally, I read the third book first, which wasn't all that bad I still got the gist of the story, but if you don't want to mildly confused then just read the books in order.
So this series follows Nick. His father left him before he was born, actually. And his mother is a stripper. It was the only job she could get, and all the money she gets from it goes to this high end school Nick goes to, because she wants the best for Nick. I think she is one of my favorite parents. Their either dead or evil mostly. Strange stuff starts to happen around the time when a girl, Nekoda, starts to go to the same school as Nick. After hanging out with Nekoda and another kid, Caleb, Nick realizes not everything is what it seems. There are demons in this world, and they are all after him. Nick learns that he is the Malachai, an evil demon that has been on earth and in other dimensions since the start of time, and they have always been the male on Nicks fathers side. Nick is destined to overcome the Malachai that his father possesses, but Nick doesn't want that.
In order to become something so powerful, Nick will lose all of the happiness and goodness in him and become so evil and despicable, he will the most evil and powerful force on the Earth.
This series was great so far. You really get hooked in, and the books really develop into something very big. Please read this because I loved it so much. Please leave comments below and I will check them as soon as I can. Sorry I missed two days I was very tired, but thanks so much.

Days Of Blood And Starlight-Laini Taylor-Young Adult Fantasy

This second book was fantastic. Fans of Daughter of Smoke and Bone, you are going to be so pleased. This was such a fast paced page turning fantasy thriller. I loved, mostly, how complicated the plot became and the enormous plot twist in the end. The end just left me wanting me. I just wanted to read the last book so bad, and when it ended I was just lost. I loved how the author, Laini Taylor, decided to write this one. She has a very unique sense of writing, and while I page through her books, I find so many great quotes.
If you have not read this trilogy, I highly recommend it. I have heard rumors of this coming out into a movie. I will be very excited to find out if it is true or not, but like I said, just rumors. I would be worried for the casting and the director. After watching The Mortal Instruments:City of Bones I was so very sad to see how awful the movie was done, though the books were so phenomenal. I would be very upset if the movie were to end up like that, because I can completely see that happening.
This book did involve some tears near the end, but I am a very emotional person when it comes to reading because I am so attached with the characters, but if you don't normally cry in books then you should be fine. The ending was very triumphant. I have the last book in my room, which I so want to read right now but I can't because I am saving it for my trip to Florida in December. So I would very much like to read it, but I must wait, and when I do finish it I will have a post up immediately.
If you have never read or even heard of this crazy good fantasy trilogy, I recommend it very much. This trilogy, however, does take a more sophisticated reader. So if you have read more young adult and adult books than I suggest you read this. But if you are used to reading middle school grade books then I would wait a few years until you have matured with your reading level.
Thank you so much for reading this post. Today is Thanksgiving, so I am very thankful that you take time out of your day and read my posts and comment and all of the little things. Please leave comments below, I hope you liked this post and have a wonderful day!

The Iron Trials-Magisterium-Cassandra Clare and Holly Black-Middle School Grade Fantasy

I really loved this first book in what is set to be a five book series. The writing was fantastic, it was a quick read, I loved it. What really got me going was the humor and adventure in this book. If you liked Harry Potter or Percy Jackson, which are two of the most anticipated series of all time, then I highly suggest you read this.
This book follows twelve year old Callum Hunt, which they call Call, and he was born with a birth defect on his leg.His mother was killed in this big war and he isn't exactly the role-model student. Call is dragged to the Magisterium. His father repeatedly tells him to try and fail the tests he will be given. Call doesn't know why his father would tell him to fail, but Call tries. He does fail every test in the end. And when the Masters call three people that they will tutor throughout the years. The most powerful Master picks Callum. Call is confused as to why he would be picked, after failing every test. Leaving his father behind, Call starts his first year at the Magisterium, his Iron Year, to become a Master himself.
While reading this book, I suggest paying attention to the little things. I found that in the end when they revealed some crazy things, it all came back to some stuff that was mentioned earlier in the book, but I never really thought much of it until the end.
I loved this, the ending was phenomenal. Being a huge fan of Cassandra Clare, and loving Holly Blacks idea in Coldest Girl In Coldtown about mixing fantasy and dystopian together was really great.
Thank you so much for reading, please leave your comments below, and I will get back to you as soon as I can, thank you!

Reborn-C.C. Hunter-Young Adult Fantasy

I really don't know how to start with this. I have had mixed emotions with reading this first book. I am currently reading Eternity, the second book in the series.
This book follows sixteen year old Della Tsang who has been a vampire for a year. She goes to Shadow Falls, a camp for children who have developed supernatural gifts. Della has dreamed about joining the FRU, almost like the FBI, but for the supernatural. She is a very strong character who kicks major butt. When she enters the camp for the first time in a year, a new face has arrived. His name is Chase. Just Chase, and he is somehow connected to the death of Della's cousin, Chan. Her feelings about Chase are mixed as serious crap goes down. Della is able to see ghosts, which is unheard of for vampires. Now with a new ghost hunting Della, a love triangle, and hard-core mystery, Della must find the murderer for her ghost and so much more.
This book was filled with a lot of laughter and a lot of action. If you liked Vampire Academy I suggest this series. I can't say it's my favorite series, but it definitely has a unique writing style to it. I do encourage it, I would say on a score out of ten I would give it an 8. I really like the ending because it ties a lot into the name of the book. It looks like each book is gonna be like a fantasy mystery style. Della is one of those characters that won't get distracted by anything, and I really like that. The second book is really good so far. There are some cheesy parts, and sometimes I feel like the romance in this book sometimes over powers the overall theme of the story.
Thank you so much for reading, this is my sixth post. Please leave comments below, and I will see you next time.

Vampire Academy Series-Richelle Mead-Young Adult Fantasy Series

This series is great I think that all teens could relate to. Even if you're a guy it would be a great series to read. With trying to fit into school, getting the guy you want, and being watched by adults who just want you to be mature, it's great. Though, I am not sure about teens relating to save the world against a huge race of immortal vampires.
The main character, Rose Hathaway, shows a great story and a very confident character that I got to know and love very quickly. She is a very loyal friend to Lissa Dragomir, and fights for what she believes in, even if the cost is her own life. Rose is a dhampir, half vampire who protects moroi, mortal vampires. Her and Lissa share this amazing and very rare connection to communicate with one another through their minds. After being on the run for about a year, the two are cought and brought to what Rose calls, the Vampire Academy. All moroi are supposed to specialize in one of the four elements. Fire, air, water, and earth. Lissa can do a little more than that. She specializes in Spirit. She can bring anything back from the brink of death.
Then there's the strigoi. Evil immortal vampires whose only thought is to kill. I'm not going to say any more because I would spoil it.
This series features fun characters, a love triangle, action and adventure (major butt-whooping), and regular high school problems. The movie came out like a year ago. It was only okay. It followed the book alright, but they could've done better, especially on the special effects parts. It was not a major bust thought like The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones was. That was just a disappointment. The ending of the series was pretty good. I had a few questions I would've liked answered, but I'm happy that it wasn't a total cliff hanger.
Thank you so much for reading this. This is my fifth post, I will hopefully have a new one tomorrow, please leave comments and have a good day. THANK YOU!!!!

Daughter of Smoke And Bone Trilogy-Laini Taylor-Young Adult Fantasy

If you have not yet read this book, I highly recommend it. The story line is one I have seen used very much, your usual angel vs. demon story. But this one is so much more. This story does switch out narrators from time to time, but through most of the book we stay with Karou. Karou is sixteen, living in Prague and going to an art school. She is very good at art, and draws these characters. Brimstone, Ziri, and many more. Everyday her friend, Zuzanna, asks her what these characters did the day before. Karou tells her and then goes on with her day. There of course is one thing a little out of the ordinary here. All of these characters are real. They are Karou's family. Now of course Karou knows that they aren't her real family, but Brimstone is her father figure and have taken care of her throughout her whole life.
Just when Karou is finally getting a hold of her life, going on missions for Brimstone who collects teeth, all hell is broken loose. Literally. Karou was brought up to always hate angels. This means of course that Karou is a demon, but she is so much more. She learns all this when Akiva shows up. Secretive and strangely familiar, he draws  her in and shows her so much more than she had ever hoped for.
I really like Karou. She really shows a strong female character and really gave me a sense of inspiration. This book carries very many quotes that I love and I cannot wait to read the last book. I have already read the second book and I hope to get that post written later today. I have heard rumors of this book adapting into film, and I so much hope that that is true. This is one of the page turning books, and once I finished the first one, I was obsessed. I've read a lot of books with the angel vs. demon theme and forbidden love, but this book is so much more. This epic fantasy thriller really hooked me in, and I encourage anyone to read the trilogy.
This is my fourth post, please leave comments below and I hope to get to them soon. Thank you for reading and I'll have my next post up soon.

Hunger Games-Mockingjay Part 1 Reaview

Wow. I literally just saw this about thirty five minutes ago and my heart is racing. Being the emotional person I am, I did cry at certain parts. The director, Francis Lawrence, did a tremendous job on following the book. I am not surprised by the ending, a complete and total cliff hanger at the end. The special effects and just the acting in general were tremendous. You were really able to tell the characters feelings through the dialogue and facial reactions. I have to say, Peeta really pulled off the whole crazy person act. Near the end where they really started to focus on him  he was very frightening and the crowd just gasped.
The included very few things, but I felt that they may have been necessary if you didn't read the book. Loving the series, I cannot wait for Part ll to come out. There was not one boring part in the movie, you just couldn't peel your eyes away. For taking out things, yes they did, but only very minor things. I am saddened that they did not include her prep team in any of the movies because I really like them as characters, but I am not upset with the director or screen play person or whoever for not including them. They weren't really that important and if they were taken out then they were taken out and I'm fine with that because the movies are all very good otherwise. I love Catching Fire out of the books most of all, but the Mockingjay movie was fabulous and I can't say anything more about it.
My overall thoughts on the movie was that it was fantastic and that I just want more. There wasn't really anything I was really upset about. Jennifer Lawrence's performance was great . There were a few times where I thought she was over reacting a little when seeing Peeta on the T.V., but it was also like that in the book, so she did very well fit Katnisse's description.
This is my third post, thank you for reading, please leave your comments below and I hope to get to them soon.

The Infernal Devises Trilogy-Cassandra Clare-Young Adult Fantasy

Cassandra Clare definitely outdid herself again. I read the series after reading City of Fallen Angels. This is the prequel to The Mortal Instruments series. It features a teenager, Tessa Gray, moving from her home in New York to London in the 1800's. Tessa is also brought into the Shadowhunter world, and has a spectacular love triangle with Gem Carstairs and William Herondale. This trilogy was filled with so much laughter and a fair amount of tears.
I love character developments, and Cassandras has one of my favorites. Everyone has changed in such a drastic way. The way she crafts her words and description is fabulous, and like her other books, you will want to keep on turning the pages. Cassandras entire Shadowhunter world is crafted through beautifully with great imagery, description, and dialogue. There is really nothing more to say then that you have to read the trilogy. I was shocked with the ending in a good way. I was happy and sad for reasons I can't express or explain. You will simply have to read the books to find out.
Cassandras stories aren't just fantasy. They are so much more than that. It's a whole world and lives made. I'm usually pretty good at guessing the endings of books, but with any one of Cassandra Clare's, i have no clue what is going to happen next, and I am grateful.Thankfully, the end of this fantastic fun and adventure filled fantasy ended perfectly, and was not at all rushed. This is my second blog post, please leave comments below and hopefully I will get another post up soon. Thank you! :)

The Mortal Instruments-Cassandra Clare-Young Adult Fantasy

Reading this series was an absolute joy. If you have never heard of it, I encourage you to please go and get the first book, titled at: "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" What I loved most about this series were the characters. This is written in 3rd Person Omniscient, meaning that the stories are written through all point of views.
The main character that we follow though is sixteen year old Clary Fray. She always thought she was just normal with her single mother and diseased father. Normal was all Clary knew until she goes to a club called Pandemonium with her best friend Simon and sees a teenager boy murdered. Clary soon finds out that she is apart of a gigantic race called Shadowhunters. When her mother does missing, Clary is introduced to a world that she never knew existed. With great adventure and hilarious characters, you will find yourself flipping the pages.
Clares way of writing is so natural and never forced. It is easily one of my favorite series of all time. The stories develop with great care and the adventure never stops. The surprises keep coming and I found myself never wanting to stop. When finishing the series, I had all of my questions answered, and I didn't feel as if it were rushed at all. Through the books, everything was so well developed and nothing came across as dull or unneeded. And also the solutions. When there was a problem, the solution was never easy, and I liked how there was always some type of struggle.
This series was absolutely great and if you're into fantasy and you are a very heavy reader, I suggest this series. Like I said before, I had great joy reading this. This being my first blog post, I hoped you like. Please leave your comments down below and I will try and get to them.
